Owning payroll, benefits, and HR operations across U.S. and Canadian entities, the remote Senior Payroll Manager will manage timely payroll processing, ensure compliance with regulations, and lead the development of a structured People Operations function. Key responsibilities Oversee accurate payroll processing and compliance for multiple entities, including personal involvement in payroll cycles as needed Manage the benefits and leave programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective administration across jurisdictions Act as HRIS system administrator, driving improvements in HR service delivery and maintaining data integrity Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred; PLP or CPP designation is a plus 10+ years of experience in payroll, benefits, and HR operations, with multi-entity and cross-border experience 3-5 years of demonstrated people leadership experience In-depth knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll and benefits regulations Experience with HRIS systems, preferably BambooHR, and familiarity with Employer of Record arrangements
