Job Title: Order Filler (NO Background Check or Drug Test)

Job Description

The Order Filler accurately pulls, builds, and documents parts and materials from a stockroom to support production. This role combines hands-on material handling with basic computer and scanning tasks to ensure orders are completed correctly and on time.

Responsibilities

• Pull parts and materials from the stockroom according to order requirements.
• Gather all necessary materials, pieces, and parts to support production activities.
• Lift and move parts and materials safely as part of daily tasks.
• Build and assemble pieces, parts, and orders needed for production.
• Scan products in and out using an RF scanner to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Document orders and material movements in the internal computer system.
• Perform packing and packaging tasks to prepare orders for production or distribution.
• Stock, organize, and replenish inventory in the stockroom to keep materials easily accessible.
• Assist with general labor and material handling tasks, including palletizing and loading as needed.
• Use pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment as required to move materials safely.
• Follow established procedures to maintain accuracy, cleanliness, and organization in the stockroom.
• Communicate with team members and other departments to ensure orders are completed correctly and on schedule.

Essential Skills

• Experience with order picking, packing, and stocking in a warehouse, stockroom, or similar environment.
• Ability to use an RF scanner to scan products in and out of inventory.
• Basic computer skills to perform data entry and update internal systems.
• Experience with general labor and material handling tasks, including lifting parts and materials safely.
• Ability to operate or work around basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and palletizing tools.
• Capability to perform inventory-related tasks such as counting, stocking, and organizing materials.
• Ability to pass a 3rd grade reading level test.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment and documentation.
• Reliability and consistency in following established processes and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comfort working in a production-support environment rather than a large, traditional warehouse.
• Previous experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or warehouse packing is beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively in a small team and communicate clearly with coworkers and leadership.
• No specific education or certificates required, making this role accessible to candidates with diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to learn company-specific systems, processes, and equipment.

Work Environment

This role is based in a smaller stockroom within a corporate and manufacturing facility, rather than a large, traditional warehouse. You will work as part of a small team of about five people, with approximately four others in the packing area. Each team member has their own workstation equipped with a computer and access to tools such as RF scanners and pallet jacks. The environment is friendly and conversational, supporting a collaborative atmosphere. The position follows a first-shift schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Work involves standing, lifting, and moving parts and materials, as well as using computers and scanning equipment to manage inventory and orders. You may occasionally interact with senior leaders, including vice presidents, in the facility, so a professional and courteous demeanor is important.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McCook, IL.

The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $15.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in McCook,IL.
