Position Purpose

The Logistics Customer Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating logistics operations while providing exceptional customer service throughout the order fulfillment process. This position manages inbound and outbound shipments, shipping documentation, warehouse coordination, order processing, delivery scheduling, and customer support to ensure products are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time.

Working closely with internal departments, international manufacturing facilities, logistics providers, warehouses, and customers, this role serves as a key liaison throughout the supply chain. The position requires a foundational understanding of international logistics operations, including cross-border shipping, international trade terminology, shipping documentation, and customs clearance processes. The Logistics Customer Service Coordinator maintains accurate records, supports continuous process improvements, and ensures a high level of service for internal and external customers.

This position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. The Logistics Customer Service Coordinator must effectively prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.

The role works collaboratively with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering, Finance, Customer Service, and external logistics partners across multiple regions. Familiarity with international shipment workflows and the roles of freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation providers supports success in this position. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, adaptability, and a sense of urgency are essential.

Principal Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer orders from order entry through final delivery.
\n
• Process customer orders and order changes accurately and promptly.
\n
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve logistics-related issues.
\n
• Coordinate domestic and international inbound and outbound shipments with manufacturing facilities, warehouses, freight carriers, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers.
\n
• Support international shipment coordination by tracking freight movement, customs clearance status, and final delivery arrangements.
\n
• Prepare, review, and maintain shipping, import, and export documentation, working with appropriate internal teams and logistics partners to support compliance with applicable requirements.
\n
• Apply a foundational understanding of international trade terminology and shipping terms, including Incoterms, when coordinating shipments and communicating responsibilities.
\n
• Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate updates, delays, and potential delivery impacts to customers and internal stakeholders.
\n
• Schedule deliveries with customers, warehouses, and transportation providers.
\n
• Maintain accurate shipping records and supporting documentation.
\n
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Technical Services, Supply Chain, and Administrative teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
\n
• Utilize ERP systems, such as SAP, Microsoft Office applications, and other business systems to manage orders, shipping information, inventory, and reporting.
\n
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and customer service efficiency.
\n
• Support additional logistics and customer service initiatives as assigned.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
\n
• Previous experience in logistics, customer service, supply chain, order management, or sales support.
\n
• Exposure to international logistics operations, with a basic understanding of international trade, cross-border shipment coordination, and import/export processes.
\n
• Familiarity with shipping documentation, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, and the roles of freight forwarders and customs brokers.
\n
• Basic knowledge of Incoterms and how shipping terms affect transportation responsibilities, costs, and delivery coordination preferred.
\n
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
\n
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office applications.
\n
• Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments preferred.
\n
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
\n
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
\n
• Ability to build effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams in a multicultural environment.
