About the Role

This position is ideal for a software engineer with a strong foundation in embedded firmware development, particularly C/C++, and hands-on experience working across hardware and software.

Please note: This is a full-time, on-site position in Delray Beach, FL . Candidates must currently live within commuting distance of our Delray Beach office. Relocation assistance is not available.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware using C/C++
• Develop software for microcontrollers and resource-constrained embedded systems
• Work directly with hardware, including sensors, controllers, and other electronic components
• Debug hardware/software integration issues
• Work with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE, and IP-based protocols
• Develop and maintain software unit tests
• Use Git for source control and collaborative development
• Use command-line tools and scripts for software builds and testing
• Work with CI/CD processes for building, testing, and deployment
• Contribute to software architecture, system design, and performance optimization
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Collaborate with engineering team members throughout the development process

Additional Software Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus:

• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• REST APIs and back-end development
• Database integration
• Mobile application development for iOS or Android
• UI, integration, and end-to-end testing tools such as Cypress

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering , or a related technical field
• Hands-on professional experience developing embedded firmware using C/C++
• Experience working with microcontrollers or other resource-constrained devices
• Experience integrating and debugging hardware and software
• Experience with embedded communication protocols
• Understanding of software architecture and good software development practices
• Ability to troubleshoot technical problems independently
